Here are some fun pictures of our wonderful son Aiden. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them!
Well geeze! It’s been forever since we have updated the blog! Thanksgiving was spent in Coarsegold with family. We had a wonderful time with Nana and uncle Travis spending some quality time with us during the Thanksgiving holiday. We went and got some family pictures while they were down. Christmas was fast behind it and boy did it come fast! Before we knew it we where on a plane up to Eugene Oregon. We spent 11 wonderful days there with Grammy and Grampy. Nana and uncle Travis came to visit too. Aiden was able to spend his first Christmas with his cousins Brandon and Lauren. Aiden had a blast! We think he loved the boxes and string more then the toys themselves! This past weekend we spent a wonderful weekend with family for cousin Kylies 1st birthday! He loved helping unwrap her gifts and playing with the balloon. Here are some great pics of the holidays and birthday.
Well Aiden has been through his first Halloween. We went to the church trunk or treat and he was dressed in his tigger outfit and everyone was in love with him.
Enjoy the pictures
We have a lot o videos we need to put up so here is a start. Aiden has started to eat rice cereal now. Heather gives it to him nightly before his bath and he really enjoys the stuff. as you can see.
Here are some pictures that Matt took and I had fun photo shopping. Hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
Well, we have had a hard week. My (Heather’s) grandma CC just passed away on Friday around 1:45 in the morning. I was very happy to have been there in her last moments. It was sad to see her go and to know that our son will never know; not only his Great grandma CC, but his Great aunt Janice and is Great grandmother Glahe. There is a reason they were labeled Great. . .each one of them has made an impact on my life, each one making an imprint of how I lived and the choices I made.
Grandma CC was a kind soul, she never had a bad thing to say to anyone. She was non-judgmental and no matter who you were you were a friend to grandma CC. She “loved” everyone. She loved to flirt with all the young cute men, saying, “Come and give me a hug”. She just loved life. She was known for her huge collages, and her infamous toast: “Here’s to it and from it and to it again, if you never get to it, to do it, you’ll never get to it, to do it AGAIN.” Cheers grams! With lots of love.
Aunt Janice was another kind soul who always thought the best in us, she loved unconditionally. She may not have been able to see us visually, but she was able to “SEE” us from the inside and she had a picture in her mind “engraved” of who we were. I loved her laugh, it was contagious. She was the reason I went into Occupational therapy school. Who knew that when I was little playing with all of her adaptive equipment that I would be issuing it out to those who would need it 25 years later. I miss her so much.
My grandmother Glahe was a quiet soul. She didn’t say much, but when she did, I know that she thought about every word before she spoke it. She was a wise woman, yet simple. She laughed easily and was able to get my jokes…even when I really didn’t remember what the joke was. She would constantly drop her food on to her glasses. You would think…so many times doing that she would have just removed her glasses when she ate, but nope, she would just clean them later. From her I learned to love and take care of my loved ones. I remember when Crackers was sick she would cook for him for every meal, just the way he liked it. Apart of me thinks that even though she lived years after Crackers died, she died with him. Little by little Grandmother stopped living, I could tell she wanted to be with her soul mate. Christmas eve last year she got her wish.
I miss them all. Part of me has died with them as well. My life will continue to be rich, but rich with my memories of them. I am so sad that our son will not know these special women, but will have to learn through my stories of them.
Here are some new pictures and old pictures…enjoy.
We are back from our trip to Catalina. Mommy, Daddy and Aiden had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a solid 3 days over there and got a good chance to relax. I went snorkeling a few times even though the only people to hang out on the beach with me were Mike and Amber.
We had a 3 bedroom house that had a really nice deck that we could hang out on and enjoy good conversation and the sun. Aiden did so well all weekend as he always does. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at that now. He slept both going over and returning on the ferry, so there wasn’t a whole lot of pictures taken then. He did love the sand though!
Enjoy the pictures.
Here we are on our way

Just want to stop and give another update. We are doing great and staying busy. We have been a lot of places this summer. Aiden had his first time in the sand at Monterey. He really liked it as you can see below.
We are headed for our annual trip to Catalina this weekend and will be having quite a good time there as well.
It has been a long time since we have last posted. Matt has been occupied with work and when he’s home all he wants to do is relax and hangout with his family. As for me I am now back to work. It was really hard to go back, Aiden was feeling it too. However we have a wonderful daycare and he likes being there. We have been very busy on our weekends for the past month. The end of last month was our first sleep over up at Uncle Allen and Aunt Christine’s home. We had a wonderful time up there and Aiden liked it so much he slept longer during the night! I was very happy! The week after that trip Aiden went on his first Airplane ride up to Oregon to visit Gramy and Grampy. We had a wonderful 5 days up there. Aiden enjoyed the brisk air in the morning and calm cool afternoons. The next weekend we went to the zoo and Aiden fell asleep after he saw the birds. The following weekend Aiden experienced his first hotel stay when we went down to San Diego for a birthday party. His longest car ride ever, and he did great! Then this weekend we went over to Monterey where he had his first time in the sand, and we went to the aquarium. He loved it so much that he almost ate the sand. At the aquarium he stayed awake the whole time and watched all the fish swimming. The only time he slept was during lunch! Here are the pictures from the last month. Enjoy!!!
We had the pleasure of Nana’s company over the weekend. She came down with her good friend Arlee (thank you Arlee for taking the time out to come down, we loved having you). They came in on Wednesday night (late) but in enough time to see Aiden awake for a midnight feeding. They were so excited to see Aiden that they got him excited and he had the best night feeding that I had ever experienced! It was funny! Thursday Arlee set off for Bakersfield and Shirley, Aiden and I made a trip out to Matt’s work to take him out to lunch. Friday we were able to have an uninterrupted dinner (Aiden slept through the whole dinner phew!) Saturday Shirley and I went shopping for a cute outfit for Aiden’s dedication, and ended up with 4 outfits (one can never just get one outfit for babies. . .thank you Nana!) Around 2pm dad, mom, Kristen, Kylie and one of Matt’s friends came over to enjoy the pool and some yummy smoked ribs and side dishes. We had a wonderful evening in the pool (it was 104 degrees. . .HOT)! Sunday was a big day for the Humann family. . .Aiden was dedicated and I (Heather) was baptized! It was a wonderful service! Our good friend Felicia sang a beautiful song for Aiden and made me cry, which inturn made her cry while singing and she had to stop looking at me. . .heehee. We are so emotional! Well anyways we had a wonderful long weekend with family. Enjoy the pics!
